Environmental Consultant

Do you want to:

We would like you to have some of the following:

  • A strong passion for the natural environment and sustainability, with a knack for problem-solving and negotiation to champion biodiversity.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, managing risks, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • A track record of writing or contributing to high-quality reports.
  • At least two years of project and resource management experience.
  • A degree (graduate or postgraduate) in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Experience in data modelling using GIS and/or remote sensing techniques.
  • A solid understanding of natural capital concepts.
  • Knowledge of UK ecology, habitats, and soils.
  • Hold, be eligible for, or actively working towards full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), or be a Chartered Ecologist and/or Chartered Environmentalist.

GIS/EO Analyst

Responsibilities

As an early career EO and GIS Analyst, you’ll analyse data for environmental monitoring, create GIS maps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EO and GIS data into decision-making processes. You’ll contribute to innovative solutions and stay updated on EO and GIS advancements, shaping a sustainable future through technology.

We would like you to have some of the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, or related field.
  • Familiarity with remote sensing principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Our preference is for someone working full time, but other scenarios will be considered (please state in your covering letter).
